U.K
I'm been waiting for some time for a decent folio style case for the rMBP but have yet to see any real contenders that are specifically for the rMBP.

Something like:

OR
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/H...acCompatibility=15inchmacbookproretinadisplay

would be fine if they were actually for the rMBP - but I just think they'll be too loose.

I've called thule and they've confirmed a gauntlet style case in production but that was back in august! When are there so few options in this market?

People have reported good luck with the Booq Vyper M3, but it is no longer in production.

Waterfield makes a number of cases specifically for the rMBP. See them here:

I'm really looking for something that is specifically for the rMBP and is of a certain style, that style being a folio case. Basically if the thule gauntlet was available in a rMBP size I would get that.

However it's not, just looking for alternatives really, alternatives available in the UK.

Tucano is an Italian company. I'm sure you can find online or in your area. They have several styles to chose from.

I like the Second Skin. I keep my cords separate inside a Timbuk2 Flexito bag.

The thing is i'm not looking for a sleeve, more like this:

just for a retina macbook pro, not a cMBP

The Vatuka Retina Cases look good, but you would have to wait for shipping from South Korean ebay sellers, unless you can find someone local that imports them?

You're talking about an 2cm. In the photo on their site, it looks like they have a MBP pictured in one of them. Remember you have a
36.4 x 24.9 x 2.41 cm MacBook Pro
39.2 x 26.5 x 2.5 cm Crumpler Case

Basically, less than 2cm x 1cm x 0.09 empty space. In the photos on their site, its a Macbook Pro pictured.

I know with my Tucano case there is a little room so that I can slide it over the computer. The same with my Timbuk2 sleeve. You want to have some room so that it will fit. I don't see it sliding around, if that is your main concern.

A reviewer on amazon said it fits just has a little room.
