iPad mini Possible to reserve at Apple Store?

Hello all,

I'm wondering if, like the iPhone 5, it would be possible to purchase an iPad mini (on the Apple Store app) and pick it up at an Apple Store.

Wondering that as well. Would an apple store know? Can you call them?

I called my local store and was told that you cannot buy online and pickup in store because its a new item.

They also supposedly didn't know what quantities they'd have claiming they haven't received the shipment yet, even though they're opening at 8am tomorrow.
