I have a new mac mini with 1 TB hard drive and the 128 GB SSD fusion drive. When I look at the storage in about this mac, it tells me I have a total of 36 GB available. The Apple folks said it was this low because it is only giving info on the SSD, but doesn't 36 seem very low for a 128 GB drive?

I suppose it depends on how much stuff you have on it. But About This Mac should show that you have a 1.12TB drive with however much space you have free for both drives combined - it doesn't list the drives separately. If it does, then the drives aren't fused.

I'd just whipe the "drive" and reinstall. Shouldn't be a big deal. If you just got it, then you probably don't have much on it anyway. I'm sure Apple is still experiencing some "Growing pains" with its new Whiz-bang storage gimmick.
