iPhone5 update icon appears but folder empty

Several times now I get the red circle notification icon on my apps folder showing they are updates but when I open up the apps folder it doesn't show any updates available.

Sometimes it takes a full day of checking for the update window to actually populate with the program updates.

Anyone else experiencing this or know how to figure out which program has an update?

So yesterday my App Store folder showed the red badge indicating 4 updates. It took over 5 hours for the updates to finally populate and finally download them. I checked almost hourly to see if the new update would show up.

Today I am showing 2 more updates and again when I open the the App Store folder nothing there again!! Will probably show up tonight.

Am I the only one experiencing this?
