It's Ncuti Gatwa. No I don't know him but am always happy to see a new face especially the first non-British born actor (also POC) named.

New Doctor Who

Actor Ncuti Gatwa will take over from Jodie Whittaker as the star of Doctor Who, the BBC has announced.
The 29-year-old will become the 14th Time Lord on the popular science fiction show, and the first non-white performer to play the lead role.
Scottish actor Gatwa, who was born in Rwanda, is best known for starring in Netflix's sitcom Sex Education.
He said he was "deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared" by his new role.
He added: "This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care.
"I will endeavour my upmost to do the same."

Gatwa will make his debut as the Time Lord in 2023.

Never seen him, people say he’s a good actor, But I think the damage is done with Dr Who now and it would have taken something monumental, like brining Tennant back to save it. You’ll have to watch Sex Education which I’ve been told is a good show to see what he’s like though.

Fantastic news - he's a great actor, and coupled with Russell T Davies coming back I'm more excited about Who than I've been since I was a little kid (and I love Jodie Whittaker). Going to be very interesting to see where they go with it together.

Good choice I think!
Enjoyed his work on Sex Education, playing a teenager didn't realise he's almost 30.
Will be interesting to see what RTD does with the show going forward. I think we can expect something of a reboot now that Bad Wolf have taken over the production from BBC Wales. Certainly a higher budget probably with co-production deal with one of streamers for the non UK rights. (my Guess HBO Max) Still all that's a long way off yet.
