Hello everybody, I asked this question in another topic, but I was feeling ok to create a new one, without bothering the people inside the other one with my things.

Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question guys, for sure you'll answered it, but I can't find an answer.
It's christmas and I would need a good laptop to produce my music.
I would like to buy a 15'' i7 32gbRAM 1tb HD and basic GPU
Should I wait the next one or is this a good MB? As far as I know the i9 was pretty bad, but this i7 should be good.

The 2019 models are communicated on july usually, do you confirm? That would be a HUGE amount of time to wait.

Thank you so much for your opinion, I'm in a hurry! :)

1) Yes, I think the earliest announcement would be July. Maybe even September, if Apple wants to announce the next MBP iteration. But I would expect July to be the earliest. And I think the next MBP announcement will also be the next iteration since there isn't really much left to upgrade or improve with this one.

2) It's a Russian Roulette laptop: really good when it works, but when it stops working it will be a headache and $$$ache like no other laptop on the market. In other words - why not, but beware of reliability risks. Again, whether the next generation will be more or less reliable than this one - who knows?
