anyone know if the retail stores have 15" MBPs on display that have the high-res screens?

i'm looking to replace my 2007 15" MBP with a new one and tempted by the high-res screen, but would like to have a look at one before deciding either way.

Yes, they do but only the highest end 15" "Ultimate". I have it and its a great screen

as long as i can have a look at one in the store, i can then go and order the spec i want online.

they always have a antiglare 15 and 17 inch on display.

maybe so, but it's specifically the high-res screen i want to see.
just thought as the glossy is the standard, they would have a glossy high-res on display.

like the previous poster said, they have base models and a souped up version, which means anti glare and highest specs.

just go and see if you like the anti glare. its not the matte option u should be concerned about, but the resolution which u can see on it

had a look in store today and it looks pretty good.
might take a little adjusting compared to the standard res 15" I have just now, but the extra screen real estate will come in handy.
