15" i7 charger connected but battery is not charging

Is anyone else having this problem/know what could be the problem?.. It was working fine for about a week, but starting on monday its been occasionally saying "not charging" but today it hasn't said charging once... I checked all the connections and tried the charger from my old mbp, but still nothing

I am getting 'Not Charging' and what's more the entire MBP will not function without mains power. It is as if there is no battery there. Pulling out the magsafe causes instant shutdown, Even if machine is put to sleep first.

Have reset PRAM and SMC, run Diagnostics at startup and reinstalled OSX.

It did it to me once about a week ago, but replugging and leaving it to sort itself did the trick for me.

I suspect it's a firmware bug to be addressed...
