If thats the case, they are better of just killing the Touch Bar completely. My hope is that Touch Bar becomes standard over all the Mac line (including desktop).

Some like it, some don't. If they're including a 13'' without it then do a 15'' too so people can chose. It's a win for us if we have options.

The touch bar is not the only feature that differentiates the 13“ models. There is also CPU/GPU performance, WiFi chips and thunderbolt controllers.

Anyway, I wrote my opinion in the other thread already. Touch Bar doesn’t make any sense as differentiating gesture. Either make it standard (at no added price) or drop it all together. And as to like or not like: some people don’t like low travel keyboards, hiDPI screens or usb-c. You can only go as far with providing options.
[doublepost=1510221880][/doublepost]P.S. On the topic — thats not rumour, thats a single comment from a sigle person dated from April, months before the 2017 refresh. I wouldn't take it too seriously. But who knows.

I'd prefer that Apple update the 2015 with Kaby Lake. That saves us from the keyboard and the touchbar. And cable replacement/dongles, the absurdly sized trackpad (has anyone else noticed their elbows hurting after using it?), etc.
