15 macbook pro 2015 warranty

I am going to buy a used 15macbook pro 2015 fm craigslist the seller advice me it have apple care till 2023. He gave me the serial no. to confirm the warranty and it’s legit. How is it possiblue for a 2015 macbook to have such a long warranty? can u buy extra warranty fm apple for that long?
