Is this machine pretty comparable and nice compared to the current 15 models that are in store now? I am thinking to get it for my office as right now I have a 13 i7 pro and will be selling it to get a 13 i5 Air 256ssd :)

It'll be okay for daily work but it's nowhere near the performance of the current generation of Macbook Pros. In an ideal circumstance where they all max out their computing power, the Core2 Duo is about 1/6 in speed compares to the quad core i7 in current models.

I say avoid it unless you are paying less than $700.

Are you serious? Sorry, but it's a complete BS.
3.06GHz is really fast, if you put an SSD in it, it's gonna do everything
really fast, except some computing tasks it will be as fast as the latest MBP.
