15' Macbook Pro(non unibody) no display!Heelp!

I just turned on my 15' Macbook Pro non uni body this morning,and there was no display, all black.I tried to plug in without the battery,but still the same. Whenever I turned it on,I will just hear the sound of the optical drive cranking,as the usual,but the sleep light work is on but no display at all.Please guys help me!SOS!

If the computer seems to be starting up but the display is black then it's quite likely (since you have an early 2008 non-unibody) a GPU issue and will need a new logic board. See http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2377

My GF has the 17 inch non unibody mbp and had this issue recently.
She took it to the apple store and they replaced the GPU for free, and now it works perfectly. This was about a month or two ago.
