Do you think Apple will ever make a 15" MacBook? The 12"/13" is too small for me, but I don't want to buy a 15" MacBook Pro just for the screen size--I have no need for a Pro. It's really frustrating that Apple only has a 15" for their Pro line.

The rumour is that they will announce a 15" MacBook Air, maybe with a Retina display?

Although I personally do not see a 15" MacBook being produced, I would be more than welcome to be produced. Though 13" like on the Air is just enough for my needs.

Where have you heard about these rumors?

It seems hard to believe they'd bother with a 13" Retina Air/MacBook with the 12" right there at basically the same size though, no?

They could make both sizes the same size and I wouldn't complain, I cant see one inch being that drastic of a difference to my workflow. Others might disagree but thats just my opinion

This has been covered in many other threads, but I think Apple will eventually 'simplify' its line-up. At the moment, they are going through a weird period in which the 12" MB is more expensive than the 13" MBP, and the Macbook Air is the cheapest but no longer the thinnest (the opposite of when it was introduced in 08). It's not an issue of having lots of screen sizes (after all, the iBook came in 12 and 14, while the Powerbook had 12, 15, and 17), but clarifying what type of consumer each laptop is designed. It may simply be a question of renaming the Air, or getting rid of it altogether as Retina screens become cheaper. IMO the most logical option, if you were starting from scratch, would be to swap the names of the MB and the MBA, but that would be confusing.

To the OP's point, I think most users wanting a bigger screen size are likely pros/prosumers, and therefore I find 15" Air is very unlikely.

Agree.
Could very easily see us getting to:

MacBook Retina: 12" & 14/15"
MacBook Pro Retina: 13" & 15"

Done.

Yes I think that's possible. After all, it's the sort of line-up Apple had with the iBook/Powerbook G4, but it will take a while. The declining cost of the rMBP now brings it extremely close to the MBA's price; in 2013, when I got my MBA, the 13 rMBP was £420 more expensive than a 8GB MBA (which I ended up choosing), but now it's only £70 more. The MBA is getting cannibalised by both the rMB and the rMBP. Nevertheless, it's a weird situation when the supposed 'consumer' laptop is more expensive than the 'pro'.

Mmmm a 14"/15" retina Macbook with absolutely silent passive cooling, I might need to lie down for a minute :D

What rumor? There's been no rumors of such a model, but plenty of dreaming about it on the Air forum. I wouldn't hold your breath.....
