Sorry if this is a dumb question but how exactly is the 15" mbp the fastest laptop ever for apple when it has from what I can tell the exact same specs as the 17".

I've seen this statement in a few different places (Cnet among others) and it's bothering me that I can't see why.

I'd also like to say thanks to the Macrumors website / forums. I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a macbook pro for a while now. The Buyers guide page really said it all as far as when updates would come out and how it would be best to wait. It's gonna make being a first time mac user easier without the added buyers remorse =)

i think what they mean is that this is the fastest 15" cpu clock speed has ever been. and also remember it's a sales pitch.
