will i notice a difference between these two cpu's? im debating between a low-end 15" i5 and the high-end 15" i7. when will i ever notice a difference between the clock speeds? ive been waiting for this update as this will be my first MAC computer. help please, thanks.

You will notice it when you open Text Edit for example. The i5 will be several ms slower than the i7.

Seriously, it depends on your needs. If all you do is browsing and writing and watching, the the i5 or even the C2D will suffice.

Have you taken a look at http://mroogle.*************/MRoogle.gif? Because that is one topic that gets asked a lot lately. I wonder why...

Also have a look at the following links, as the information presented there might be helpful in your future endeavours into Mac OS X and could clear up initial confusion and may even prevent harm to your system or your files.
