15" MBP - Squeal When Waking

Does anybody know about this? When I open the MBP from a sleep, it makes a quick, high-pitched squeal/screech... Happens every time.

Optical drive turning on while the system checks it? That what the wake noise on mine is.

update: when i open the lid of the machine, the squeal is reminiscent of the "bottle" sound effect in preferences>sounds>sound fx

it's not coming from the speakers, but it's similarly high-pitched and quick.

does anybody else have a machine that makes that little noise?
