I just bought Mac today. I’m a fairly competent PC –user, and techno-freak but I’ve never used a Mac before and I have to admit it’s pretty scary.

Anyway my problem Is this: The enter key is a bit askew. Basically it’s about a millimeter too far to the right with the discrepancy being larger on the upper side (the part that’s closest to the screen) It almost looks like the key has been “squished” on the upper right hand side.

Is this a production fault with my particular unit? Or does this problem affect other people on this forum also?

I have taken a picture of my keyboard. If someone could tell me how to ad it to this post it would be much appreciated.
Thanks:)

I hope this works...

Edit: Yay, I managed to post a picture. It's a bit dark and out of focus, but I think you can see what I mean.

This is pretty normal. I'm now on my third 15" MBP as the first two had problems. On each one I've noticed the return key has been a tiny bit 'out' compared to the other keys. It sticks up a fraction more and should be over to the left a fraction more but I'm not really bothered by it.

That looks off enough for a warranty job. If you bought it in-store just bring it back, they should replace it for you. Otherwise ring up apple and send them the pic if you can.
