I recently got a MBP and the Apple LED display. When using the monitor for extended periods of time, the monitor shuts off ~2-3x every hour for about 1 second then turns back on on its own. I have checked the system preferences for the energy settings and the computer sleep and display sleep are set at 3hrs, so that can't be an issue. I don't have another computer to attach the LED display to, and don't have another monitor to attach the MBP with. Is there another setting that I am missing? I contacted AppleCare and they went through some things with me but have been unable to solve it. I am getting really frustrated and I'm wondering if this is maybe a fail safe/reset when the monitor gets too warm after being on for awhile? Any experience with this idea?

Anyone have any ideas? Is this a monitor issue or a computer issue?
