I just mirrored the internal hard drive of this MBP to another SATA drive. I booted it successfully via USB. Now when I put it inside and plug it to the SATA port, nothing! I get NO bootable devices!

It's a Seagate Momentus (9rt14g-500) in a MacBookPro5,4

Oddly, this drive has jumper pins but NO jumpers included! I had a similar problem where a drive wouldn't boot because it had no jumpers...but that was a PATA drive!

What gives!! Help please!

Tried putting a jumper on. Seagate says the only use is as a throughput limiter. I set it to that setting, no different. What's going on?

Does this have anything to do with the noise I keep hearing about 15" and 17" MacBook Pros' SATA ports.
