15" or 17"

Hey everyone, I could use some advice on which of the MBP's to go with... I will be doing quite a bit of video/ photo editing for work using both FC and PS, but nothing too crazy. Anything will be an improvement on my current G4, but would I be that much better off with the 17" than the 15" as far as power, speed, etc.? The screen size isn't an issue for me because I'm used to the 15", so really just want to base it on performance alone... thanks for the help.

Thanks, but looking through those they mostly address screen size and don't really dive into performance that extensively. My question is really whether the top of the line 15" would be that much underpowered than the new 17" (and how it would be affected 3 years from now).

The specs of both are clearly listed on Apple's site. The 17" is marginally more powerful (less than 5% more processor speed).
