I’m trying to find a compatible micro sd card for recording video to an external drive. Apple says transfer speeds of 220mb/sec but none of the sd cards I can find seem to have anything over 190 for a read speed and less for a write speed. So, my sense is that I’m not understanding what I need here. Can someone recommend a micro sd card for recording video directly?

Micro sd cards are slow, that’s why profesional cameras are using other formats. And also not recording at 60fps.

220mb/sec is needed for LOG 4K 60 fps, which isn’t really consumer grade.

You’d want to put a good SSD there.
