I originally got a white 15 pro max, but decided to switch to natural titanium after seeing it in person.
Picked it up last night from my local apple store.

However, today I noticed staining on the back bottom left corner of the phone. See attached pics.
Any idea what it could be? I don't want to go through the process of backing up and syncing another phone LOL

It's probably just glue/adhesive. I'd turn the phone off and set it face down on a towel or cloth and let it sit in the sun for 10 minutes to see if the heat/UV makes quick work of it.

This is literally the worst recommendation wtf.

I’m not suggesting taking it into the Mojave desert and placing it in the middle of a solar mirror array.

It looks like some adhesive wept out during the assembly process, as has been reported on some of the 15’s camera lenses as well. It’s likely optically clear glue and may respond to heat or sunlight by setting it on the edge of a desk near an open window.

There’s nothing about suggesting this that would even remotely damage the device or void its warranty, and it’s a quick test rather than the inconvenience of returning and waiting for a replacement if they’re out of stock where OP is located.

There are a couple of other threads on Macrumors (via Twitter) that show this exact same discoloration.
