I just saw the benchmarks of the new 21.5" iMac.

Is it me or are you even more impressed with the 15 rMBP?

I know Geekbench is to be taken lightly but it's an equal ground measurement and on my system (2.7, 16GB, 512GB) I get a score of 12383.

VS the top end 21.5 iMac of 12447.

Opinions.

rMBP impressive or top of the line 21.5 iMac not so much?

Geekbench is good for measuring processor power across models and years .. both numbers are impressive against previous years and lessor processors ( e.g. I5 mobile in 2011 MacMini hits around 6500 .. C2D is in the mid high 3000s ..) ..just says , from a processing standpoint, the 15 rMBP and iMac are pretty equally matched .. Geekbench had web pages where you can match these numbers up against other processors ( e.g. hex core tricked out desktop processors .. ) .
