Alright so along with everyone else I think I'm going to buy a rMBP 15 inch refurb now, my question is should I either get:
the base mid 2012 with (1599)
2.3 GHZ processor
256 ssd

or the upgraded (420$ more)
2.6 Ghz
512GB Flash Storage

While I do think the extra space would be welcomed I think if I got the 1599 I would also get apple care as my budget is around 2100. Does the .3 ghz processor improvement make a difference?

Well what would you be doing on your rMBP? And at all depends if you really need 512gb SSD.

Mostly taking notes but I also play sc2 on it. Right now I have a MBA with a 128gb and I find myself feeling short on memory (I bought the SD card adapter just to get 32gb more). I feel as though the 256 might be enough and I can also put my SD card adapter in the MBP as well.

I guess there is also the option with 16gb ram for just 350 more
