Is there a way to check what the screen contrast ratio, brightness, gamut etc is. Does anyone know?

If you need to know that kind of info just buy an external display. The notebook displays are not good enough for photography / graphics work.

If you choose to go with an external display I would stay away from the 24" ACD, it has huge stepping issues.

Thanks, I know laptop displays are not as good as desktop ones. I was just curious there was no real reason I was asking.
