When is next update due?

I am on my third MacBook Pro. (Now five years old) Each time in the past I ordered and shortly thereafter an upgrade came along.
The latest 15" MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display came out, I think, in June in 2012. Has anyone heard any rumors re the timing of the next upgrade?

No matter when you buy, that will likely be the case.

Haswell won't be out until late Q2'13 at the earliest so it will be a good 6 months or so at least.

Which still does not mean, a spec bump might not be in the works.

To the OP: if, for the last five years you've been okay with your current machine, there is hardly any reason for you to expect that an upgrade will cause you any real hardship. Sure, it might be annoying, but as pointed out, if it's really that important, maybe you should wait (but be prepared for a long and fruitless wait).
