I'm clumsy. I use Otterbox on everything. iPads and iPhones. I've dropped them, kicked them on the way down and never had any damage.

I'm currently using an iCarbons skin for the back to prevent scratching and a sleeve I ordered from Etsy for transportation. I have a dark grey Smart Cover, but I haven't opened yet as I haven't decided it I'm going to keep it. I'm not worried about dropping the iPad as I have insurance for that. I'm more concerned about scratching so it still looks good when I go to sell it.
