I have reinstalled Snow leopard (Erased drive) and then restored from time machine. Both Parted magic and Gparted reports unknown partitions for my unpartition drive. The terminal disk utll command reveals the following.

diskutil list
/dev/disk0
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme *250.1 GB disk0
1: EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1
2: Apple_HFS Mac's HD 249.7 GB disk0s2

but both Gparted and partition magic show a 128 MB unallocated partition. but Diskutil graphical shows the following. See enclosed diskutil.jpg.

Here is disk util terminal results for command "diskutil info disk02"

diskutil info disk0s2

Does anyone have an idea why the difference between Apples Diskutil and other partition software gparted and magic partition? Also where is this extra partition 128 Mg partition coming from.

Note the apple disk verification finds no problem.
