Just picked up the current Mac Mini. Wonder what everyone prefers and why? Or both? :D

I have both. when I first got the trackpad I used it about 80% of the time but the novelty's worn off and now I'm back to about 80% MM and 20% trackpad.

Does the MM have all the gestures of the pad? Or only some?

I have a keyboard, trackpad, and magic wand but my mini is connected to the tv and I use on the couch so a MM wouldn't work. If I had a desk I'd go with a MM.

Ok, trackpad it is, since I have a regular mouse already. Thanks all!

Mice, trackpads, and mouseballs are all cheep enough. My home system has both a mouse and a mouseball as some things I prefer one and for other things the other. No reason why not to substitute 'trackpad' for 'mouseball' above.

I went to an Apple Store and tried the TrackPad for 5 minutes. It was enough to convince me that I never want to use a mouse again!

I had already used Wacom Bamboo tablets, including the "Pen and Touch" range which also use fingers and gestures, but the Apple pad is great.

Same here. I switched to TrackPad as soon as it came out and since then I never touched a mouse again. I use it with tap to click and dragging enabled. Mouse feels so quaint now.
