Here's the deal.. I feel as though I am sick of Philadelphia, Pa. and I just need to move somewhere.. I work for US Airways and I can pretty much pack up and go anywhere I want.. even overseas

Few co workers said South Carolina is where it's at.. Better people, lower cost of living, good looking women, etc

Was wondering if I can get some opinions from any locals. also.. how's public transportation down there? would I need a car? I figure I can save up $5,000 in two months and be out. theres some nice looking cheap apartments

Well.....Charlotte is in North Carolina, so when figuring out which state to live in getting that squared away would be a good start.

Did you mean Charleston, SC? If so I'd be looking at a house not an apartment. You'd probably be spending a lot more per month for an apartment for what you get. You can get pretty good house in a decent neighborhood for around a $100K. Which would be pretty cheap on a 15 year mortgage and 3% down with an FHA loan or VA loan if you qualify.

Couldn't say about how good public transportation is.

Spent all of last week in NC at FT. Bragg. I love the south. Much better than Michigan. Better economy, roads, services etc. The only thing I like about Michigan is the wildlife, hunting, fishing and scenery. It has lot's to offer in that regard.

lol.. I meant North Carolina

Hi Muscle Master - I've lived in NC since 1971 - Winston Salem nearly ALL of that time (90 mins from Charlotte) except for 2 years @ Ft. Bragg as an Army Major (MD radiologist) @ Womack Army Hospital.

NOW, I could go on for pages about how lovely this area is to in but please feel free to ask me some specific questions - Dave :)
