Yeah it is cool, but that wasnt my point. :)

I am wanting to see if any OS X browser can play it.

No way, why wont it play it for me then? I cant get any browser to play it.

Doesn't play in Safari for me, but (some of?) the other videos on the site do.

Edit: I've taken a look at the HTML. I'm no good at embedding, but it appears that they're trying to play an MPEG file in Windows Media Player, which I don't think would work.

I have Mplayer, flip4mac, Mplayer, Qtime, Safari, Shiira and Firefox. It doesnt work in any of them. WMP too.

Plays dandy for me in Safari, I'm sure it's just a matter of having the right codec installed.

What's in your /Library/QuickTime folder? I have these, and it doesn't play:

3ivx D4 4.5.1 for OSX
AppleIntermediateCodec.component
DivX Fusion Decoder.component
DivX Fusion Encoder.component
Flip4Mac WMV Import.component
AC3 Codec.component
MayaIFF.component
XVIDDelegate.component

Do you have something that I don't?

The movie is nothing special, no need to go checking codecs... it's just MPEG1. Not sure why safari isn't bypassing the WMP embedded object statment and loads up the QT web plugin (like munkle screenshot).

But if you are interested my tech specs are..

OS 10.4.2 build 8C46
Safari build 412.5
QuickTime 7.0.3 Pro
Acid Search .51 (was off)
Pithhelmet (was off)

in /Library/QuickTime
OggVorbis.component
Flip4Mac WMV Import.component
FLAC_Decoder.component
AC3 Codec.component
3ivx D4 4.5.1 for OSX

in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
QuickTime Plugin.webplugin
QuickTime Plugin.plugin
JavaPluginCocoa.bundle
Java Applet.plugin
Java Applet Plugin Enabler
NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave
nsIQTScriptablePlugin.xpt
flashplayer.xpt
Flash Player.plugin

This page was also tested in Webkit Thu Oct 27 2:53:12 GMT 2005 which worked.

I got also a link that prevent Safari to load the content. It showed the dialog box that Safari doesn't have MIME installed. :(

Works for me

Plays for me in Safari (2.0.1) under 10.4.2. I have Windows Media Player 9 for OS X installed on my computer, if that makes any difference.
