Went to the local indian festival last weekend and took some pictures. It was full of lots of color but unfortunately it rained most of the time so I was unable to get a lot of good pictures. This was on of my favorites. She was dressed in a very colorful outfit and this was her right before she went out and danced on stage.

1st: Keleko: its solemn but the subject shows emotion. Focus is good.

2nd: fireman32: seems like she was a bit nervous before her performance by looking at her hands, would have been good to see photos of the performance itself. Bringing up the vibrance and the highlight would probably make the image a bit more lively.

3rd: pmxperience: would have been nice to see some of the crowd included in the shot. sometimes the subject needs to be supported to highlight the importance or what makes it special.

Thanks to all, it was interesting to see the different perspectives of celebration this week, from the hedonism of acearchies to the purity of Keleko's, all struck a chord within me!

Wow, thank you so much for the honor. My knowledge isn't exactly the sharpest when it comes to extreme low-light/night time photography. I think I was lucky to even get the exposure for the train somewhat correct! :)

Oops, I forgot to check this forum yesterday (busy day). Thanks for the win! I'll have a new contest up sometime today.
