Will Apple replace DVI adapter?

Hi,

I bought this adapter from eBay (100% genuine, checked with my mates adapter) and I also bought DVI cable from there. Cable has been a bit dodgy, but I'm not sure if it is it or is it adapter, but I'm pretty sure it is the adapter, because it just suddenly disconnects without moving anything, I re-connect the cable and it works again.

If I would go to Apple Store and schedule a genius appointment, would they replace it?

Without a receipt from a legit reseller? I doubt it, especially if they're not able to replicate the problem. Worth a shot though, it may be a cheap enough item that they don't bother with verifying purchase date & warranty status.

Yeah I thought so, because to see the problem it takes 1-2 hours of usage, then it disconnects.
