Think the most interesting thing about the color tiles in the poster are how they are semi transparent. Excited!

I dont know how well clear-ish icons will look if that's the route he has chosen, I am still probably one of the only people excited to see what the wallpaper will look like more than the UI

  1. Black
  2. White
  3. Silver

Yep. No way could that have been his inspiration of iOS. Cause those are definitely not flat. And not even close to thin.

I would counter that you are incorrect. A large portion of users are just fine.

I think the issue is that a vocal portion are bored and out of boredom speaking out and thus it seems like a large group when it's actually a small one, very small perhaps.
 
Man, I still think those are some of the most beautiful computers ever built. I mean, I love the new iMac, but the colorfulness still stands out. It gave desktops a little differentiation, which the industry is still largely lacking.
