i HAD [mention had] the new 15in mbp and i am using a sony pro camcorder EX1 which needs the SxS device drive so i install the driver and my boot time was garbage 1 min spinning gear 4 min blue screen. take driver out all fine. so what i found out was the nvida chipset is probably causing the hang up so they let me return it. [any sony xdcam people out there dont waste your time with this mbp yet]
so i go into the store AGAIN and get them to let me try the 17in with the driver .. all worked fine HOWEVER i would suspect that they would be introducing a new 17in in the real near future? has anyone heard yet? if so would they be using the same chipset of the 15in? the geinus told me that they used that chipset for the ability to change graphic cards but i would think that the 17in wont have that option thus i wont have that problem.
