I didn't install it on my iPhone 13. I installed it on my iPad Mini. Same issue. The affected are only iPhone 13 users? Because I really wanted to update my iPhone 8
Let's see if this bug only affects iPhone 13 or even A15 devices.
Very odd. I haven't updated my phone and have no issues with sending to Android. I tried the same test message on the one device I upgraded to and it won't send at all....I don't think this is a bug because I'm able to text android users on my phone. I am 16.5.1
Do you have an A15 device? Maybe it is limited to those…I don't think this is a bug because I'm able to text android users on my phone. I am 16.5.1
what is an a15 device? I have an Iphone 14 regularDo you have an A15 device? Maybe it is limited to those…
That’s indeed an A15 device. I mean, the System on a Chip (CPU+GPU+Neural Engine) that powers your device is the same as the iPhone 13 Pro. So I guess you should be experiencing this issue as well. If you don’t, then it is not device related I guess?what is an a15 device? I have an Iphone 14 regular
yeah just my opinion if this bug was going on all those phones, there would be a lot of people complaining online right now. It would probably also make the macrumors front page. That’s indeed an A15 device. I mean, the System on a Chip (CPU+GPU+Neural Engine) that powers your device is the same as the iPhone 13 Pro. It must be the update, if it was the device then why did it work fine before the update? Also not the carrier T-Mobile, because it worked fine before, and calls and Facebook messenger work normally.yeah just my opinion if this bug was going on all those phones, there would be a lot of people complaining online right now. Could be possibly happening on Iphone 13's only from the updateIt must be the update, if it was the device then why did it work fine before the update? Also not the carrier T-Mobile, because it worked fine before, and calls and Facebook messenger work normally.
Problem is resolved. It must be a problem with the phone and the update. With T-Mobile on the line we tried many thing over the course of an hour. But what worked was changing the Cellular, Voice and Data selection from 5G Auto to LTE.
What does this have to do with texting? Who knows, but I can text to android phones again.
Did you guys try this ?Problem is resolved. It must be a problem with the phone and the update. With T-Mobile on the line we tried many thing over the course of an hour. That would probably help for those with this issue with the iPhone, but I do not have this issue with my phone, however I DO have it with iPad mini and it looks like my Mac as well....Did you guys try this ?
Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Carrier settings updates let your carrier provider update carrier network and related settings to improve cellular network connectivity and performance. Carrier settings updates can also add support for new features like 5G or Wi-Fi Calling.support.apple.com
You mean, the messages app on your Mac doesn’t send messages to Android phones? Or the app just crashes? What version of the operating system do you have on your Mac? I guess you haven’t updated your iPhone to 16.5.1 yet, so it shouldn’t be problem of the iPhone. That would probably help for those with this issue with the iPhone, but I do not have this issue with my phone, however I DO have it with iPad mini and it looks like my Mac as well....
My messages app stopped sending messages to Androids when I updated. It seems to be affecting my iPad mini and my Mac Studio. It is NOT affecting my iPhone 13 Pro and my iPad Pro (M1). I have updated all devices. You mean, the messages app on your Mac doesn’t send messages to Android phones? Or the app just crashes? What version of the operating system do you have on your Mac?
