Interesting choice from Apple to keep 16GB as the base storage and drop the 32GB option.

So what capacity will you get?

I always go for 32 GB but since it's not an option anymore ... 64 GB it is.

Haven't watched the keynote yet but if the 64 is now the price of 32 then I"m getting 64 as 16 is no longer enough for me.

If I decide to go with the 4.7, then 64GB. If I go with the 5.5, probably just 16GB. Not as much disposable income as I would like to have.

I've gotten 32GB the past three phones, and probably would have gone there again, but I'm stoked I'll get 64 for the same price.

So glad they finally did 128gb and for the 4.7 phone too not just the phablet.

Absolute joke. Why on earth get rid of 32GB? It should have been the minimum 2 years ago. Talk about money grabbing.

That is a bit of a stretch don't you think?

No, it is not. I have worked in the telecom industry and watched many people assume the storage capacity means speed. I think you overestimate peoples intelligence and under estimate their ignorance.

Greedy apple,

16gb...what a joke. But smart business choice.

It's not completely a joke. Read the threads on here. Everyone seems to want 16 GB and doesn't want to have to pay the increased costs for more space. I think people are crazy for not wanting more and I've given up on having any discussion asking for more. Everyone wants more RAM though for some reason.

I was going to go with 32gb ... but I guess I'll get 64..so yay for more storage than what I thought I would have!! (I could go with the 16, I currently only use 7gb on my current phone..but I may actually put music and such on the new one..so I'd like to have a bit more available just in case).

I'm pretty sure the 64GB will be the majority choice. Not sure why they dropped the 32, should have dropped the 16 instead.

While I agree that many have no idea what is going on, there are plenty here who DO know the difference in storage capacity and speed.

Either way I try not to judge people

Eh, you're much more forgiving than I am. Not knowing is one thing but not wanting to learn or taking the time to understand simple things merits people being called ignorant.
