I promised myself I would never go to Fry's again unless I absolutely had to. They throw a sale like this, put a whole three or four on hand, it gets sold within thirty minutes, and then, you are left with nothing.

I think tablets + the hard drive shortage hit the DRAM market big time. There a large overstock, which seems to kill prices.

digitimes says the market will rebound in 2012, but I don't see prices increasing... maybe they will stabilize around the current levels.

I had issues with this memory when I ordered it from NewEgg. It caused my late-2011 15" MBP to freeze quite often.

I suggest trying OWC or Crucial instead.

Cheap is not always good.

that's the max Apple advertises, but it does have the latent ability to go beyond 8 gigs. 16GB is confirmed, there are some rumors floating around about 32 gigs as well.
