iPod touch 16 gig touch actual available space?

I was wondering what the actual space available for a 16 touch is because i'm nearing the point of pulling the trigger and buying one. I have roughly 14 gigs of music, movies, etc and i was wondering if all my "junk" would fit in a 16 gig touch? I would like at least a gig for the upcoming sdk apps so that puts it at 15 gigs.

Actual Space on the 8gb is like 7.23 so I'm guessing my 15.23 actual for the 16gb Model.

14.84 GB

in iTunes. It may however differ from model to model.

thanks guys. so i looks like it varies from touch to touch. darn, thats a bummer. maybe i might opt to wait a bit longer to see if there will be a price drop before summer as i really want to get the 32 gig but we shall see.

I thought a read a rumor somewhere that they might drop the 32gb to 399 as soon as tuesday at the sdk event. But I personally think that would be to0 soon since it's release and would p*ss people off. And drop the 16gb to $299, hoping it happens b/c I bought an 8gb on Tuesday.

A price drop will come, but not soon. The touch will always sell so there is no incentive to drop the price. If you feel you can wait till Xmas then wait. Don't expect a drop in weeks though.

Well, my capacity says it's 14.8GB. I have a post macworld touch that came with 1.1.3 apps pre-installed.

8GB Model actual space: 7.23GB
16GB Model actual space: 14.84
32GB Model actual space: 29.80 (on computer, says 30GB exactly on the iPod Touch)

I know friends who got all models, (and myself with the 32GB Model)
And these numbers are with 1.1.4 installed.

2nd on 16GB = 14.84GB available. Less ~100MB for "Other," namely the 1.1.3 apps.
