Hey all,

I got a small question regarding this 2019 16inch macbook pro. I recently downloaded iStat Menu and was looking at the CPU graph. I notice that when I put the computer to sleep at night it sleeps for like 40 mins and then turns back on again. Is this due to the Caldigit TS3 Plus Dock? I have an external keyboard that has backlight and I noticed that it turns on in the middle of the night as well. Any information is appreciated. One thing I noticed for sure is that in my 2015 macbook pro using iStat, the graph once in awhile spikes up while the computer is sleeping but this is due to the it fetching mail or something.

This is the graph for the 2019 16inch macbook pro. A little over 12 I put it to sleep, but somehow wakes up and remains awake all night.

was there any network activities to wake up your computer in the background? or wireless network or wireless mouse / keyboard? what's your powernap setting?

I think you are right, it might be my settings. I guess while it is plugged in the dock it is considered on the power adapter.

Should I turn off the first, third and forth settings?

I have the same issue as long as I'm using an external monitor.

Did you find any solution?

Hey I actually havent found the solution while it is attached to the dock. I decided to just unplug it every night. I was also having issues where windowserver was crashing, and it led me to believe it was because of this issue. Where it kept the macbook running all day.

Hey I actually got it to go to sleep. I just unchecked Wake for network access and the powernap option. I tested it last night.
