16” M1 Pro vs Base 14” M3(16gb Ram)

Having a really hard time deciding between these two. For context-
-the m3 is $1800 compared to $1350 for the M1

-either will be hooked up to a monitor 90%+ of the time at home

-I WFH and own a business( google ads, marketing, web design, etc)

- travel internationally 2/3mo a year.

I enjoy a bigger screen but I’m worried about the bulk of the 16”. 14” seems like a more practical size but for $450 less I get a bigger screen, better specs, etc with the downsides being bulk/2 years old. Any advice? Greatly appreciate any insights, thank you!

That's too subjective a question for us to answer. How much do you value 16" when on the go? How heavy is too heavy for you? I'm old enough that a 16" MBP feels light to me and I really value the additional screen space.
