Got a new MBP for work (16" 2.3/16/1 TB), finally installed the new Logic Pro. Playing with the new EXS24 replacement tonight, something was off - I realized that on sustained notes there's a repetitive ticking, like a low-pitched clock. I'd heard about the popping issue when they released so in searching to see if this was the same thing I found a suggestion to change the project settings from 44.1k to 48k... and the ticking is gone. But then it also seems to disappear on its own at times.

In this video I'm playing the same audio file exported from Logic Pro X (a square wave from Retro Synth) - sometimes when I play it, no ticking sound, sometimes when I play it, all the ticking sound.

I have to assume there's something wrong with the MBP?
