My 16" MacBook Pro's keyboard coating is starting to wear off. Its mainly on the spacebar which I realize I hit quite often but this seems a little odd that its already starting to wear like this and its not even a year old. Has anyone else seen this? I realize not really worthy of a claim but still annoying nonetheless.

Normal wear and tear, it happens on every keyboard from every manufacturer.

Space bar wear very common with every Mac I have owned since 1987.

Have you seen what happens to the keys when long fingernails (like from a woman's hand) constantly does to the keyboard ?

My 16" MBP does not get any wear because it's setup as a desktop with 27" TB display and Magic KB2.

You can always try your luck with Apple, since you seem to be under warranty. But as others are saying, it’s most likely normal wear and tear.

Yeah that’s what I figured. Just seems like it should last a little longer than a few months so I may call
Apple and see what they say.

No way apple will replace his keyboard over this issue. They will say it's not covered because it's normal wear and tear. Besides, a replacement keyboard will do the exact same thing. Totally normal.

Yes, but the keytops are replaceable on the 16". You don't have to replace the entire keyboard just because a keytop has a problem.

(emphasizing that I said "keytop", not "scissor", but someone who won't read will still try and call me on it, I'm sure)
