I got my MBP back last week from the top-case recall program and now when I'm streaming HMTL5 audio/video the trackpad stutters in Safari. It doesn't seem to be effected in other browsers, but this has never been a problem before I got the MBP fixed by Apple.

Any else with the same experience?

Did you try a SMC/NVRAM reset?
I tried the SMC reset and I'm not sure if it I did it correctly. I just got a blank screen and then reboot.

Then I tried the NVRAM and it went to the Safe boot login. I'm not sure if that's what it supposed to do.

When you do NVRAM reset it should go to Apple logo and then reset. When the Apple logo comes the second time, release the keys.

Check the Apple website where it shows how to perform both of them.

I searched online (kind of dangerous thing to do) and found this.

I fixed it by going into recovery mode and opening terminal, then entering this,
nvram 8be4df61-93ca-11d2-aa0d-00e098032b8c:epid_provisioned=%01%00%00%00

Glad its sorted out. ;)
NVRAM can be performed without going in recovery.

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
  3. Turn on your Mac.
  4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you press the power button.
  5. Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you see the Apple logo again.
