I just got the Caldigit TS3 Plus dock and was hoping to use it with my 16" MBP and LG 27UK850-w 4K monitor. Unfortunately, when I plug the monitor into the dock, none of the scaling options are available. Also, the display preferences has the frequency greyed out at 30Hz. The monitor is 60hz, and the TS3 plus is supposed to support that. I've tried both the DP and the USB-C on the dock using the cables provided by LG with the monitor. Same behavior for both: the monitor "works" but no scaling options, which makes it unusable for me. If I plug the monitor directly into the TB3 port on the MBP, it works perfectly with several scaling options available. It looks like the TS3 dock can't handle the monitor, but I don't get why since it's supposed to support 4K@60Hz. Ideas?

I use the new 16" MBP with a LG 27UK850 4k display and a TS3 plus (along with a separate BenQ 32" 4k display). I had some strange issues when docked, and they mostly resolved after updating the dock's firmware. I'd definitely give that a try first.

Thank you for that information. It's good to hear someone else with the same monitor/dock has it working. When you say "updating the dock's firmware" are you talking about the USB charging macos driver update here? I can't find any TS3 Plus firmware updates. I can only find macos drivers update for improving thunderbolt charging and also the Docking Station Utility.
