Hey all. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or maybe I have a defective dGPU.

The machine works like a dream other than every time I try to fun a game in full-screen mode the display is all weird checkboard scramble that makes it really hard to go into the options to change the game to windowed mode. The games run just fine in windowed mode. Changing the game (full screen) resolution doesnt fix anything.

Having auto graphics switching disabled does not make a difference. Just wondering if this is an issue that I need to take it in to Apple to look at. Config- 2.3 i9, 16GB, 5500M 8GB, 2TB

Is this a specific game? If so, report it as a bug to the game maker.

Same issue here with Oxygen Not Included. A checkerboard pattern occasionally crops up between plays. Thus far managed to "fix" the issue each time by settings the resolution to native full-screen, then switch to the desired full-screen resolution. But eventually decided to just play in maximised windowed mode while hiding the dock and menu bar.

If you alt-tab, but hold alt, the game renders fine while in the background. It allows you to manoeuvre the mouse pointer to where you need to click.
