People have a mind, what they do with it is their business. No wrong or right decision.
Well, the longer you wait, the more it depreciates in value. So you might as well do it now. Also, life is too short, and I enjoy the latest and greatest tech. That was my reasoning.
Ordered 17 Pro Max Cosmic Orange too but I’m very tempted to get the Air.will decide when I see in in person in Apple store.
I do it every year. If you have the disposable income, do it. Pay any debts off first!

I’m going from 16 PM to 17 P because of the size difference and battery life improvements. 17 P looks like it was have similarly battery life as 16 PM.
Same here. First ordered the Air, but got second thoughts and now a Silver 17 Pro.
I've done it. I fear that next year's iPhone's may well be eSIM only everywhere. Until the operator of my secondary line allows remote recovery of an eSIM (in the event of a broken/lost/stolen phone), I'd rather retain a Physical SIM. The colour choices are rotten & I find the 16 PM more aesthetically pleasing, but there you go. I've gone for the Silver as the lesser evil & I guess I'll appreciate the bigger battery.
I'm giving my sister my 16PM and buying the 17PM. haha. I've been using my phone so much for TikTok content. My videos haven't been doing so well lately though.
Because I have Yearly Upgrade through T-Mobile. Paid off half of the 16PM over the past year, preordered 17PM and will send my old phone in to them. I don’t mind being tied to T-Mobile. I will do the same thing next year.

However i do have my own mental justifications - i have very few other vices, and as a tech/apple fan I like having the latest iPhone, and secondly i feel like of all my personal devices the phone is what is used the most so even if it isn’t ‘worth’ the upgrade cost, based on how often i use it, hours a day, i feel like its ok to spend the few hundred dollars to upgrade for all the many hours of use I’ll get out of it and the small year over year upgrades

Caved in and got the Blue 17PM coming from 16PM. Picking up this Sunday.
I’m upgrading from a 15 PM. I’m really thinking about canceling it. Not sure it’s worth upgrading.

Me. My 16 PM is perfect, but perhaps the 17PM will be even better, I'm doing it for the newer chassis, processor and display.
My 17 PM will be here on Friday as an upgrade to my 16 PM. I'm actually more excited for this one than when I received my 16 PM.
