After using my new 16 Pro to take a broad range of photos I am of the opinion that the new range of colour and tone controls available make the phone firmly worth an upgrade for those who are REALLY into photography.

I’m able to play around with so much more with the new defaults as well as having more colour and tone controls after taking the photo.

I’m really enjoying this aspect of the 16 Pro. The new camera button is pretty meh to me but it doesn’t spoil things as I have it set to be mostly off.

If you’re a photographer or just really into taking pics and playing around with the shadows, colours and tones then you’ll love this.

I’m coming from a 15 Pro Max. If it had been given the new software for managing the colours and tones then I definitely wouldn’t have upgraded but I think it was worth it to get the new features (as I LOVE photography).

Yes. Being able to deal (at least partially) with the over-processing is great. And I do like the camera button, too.

I agree with you. I moved from a 14PM to the 16PM. The camera and photo controls along with the camera button was a huge part. While I have my SLR camera for most of my photography stuff the iPhone is the camera I have with me all of the time. I have missed shots more than once with my iPhone having to open the app but having the camera button is a plus for me in these occasional situations. I also really do not have an issue with the button placement on the PM others have. I do not have banana hands either, but I could see the issue for the average woman's hands.

This is the killer app for the camera button, for me. The other stuff is nice, but can be a bit finicky to use, but being able to instantly open the camera from anywhere is a lifesaver.
