16 "pro vs max performance on charger

I watched this video and it seems like there is throttling from GPU when testing GPU + CPU intensive work on battery.
But temp on max is better due to faster fan speed.
Then throttling is happening in that test because of saving battery power consumption ?
So it would mean max will get much better performance on charger without throttling from GPU ?

What do you think ?
Did anyone test 16 "pro vs max performance test on charger ?
If throttling is happening on charger for 16" max then seriously there is no reason to buy max

Tests show the Max routinely outperforms the M1 Pro on and off the charger. The part you're talking about would only apply in very rare circumstances.

Btw, the video is careless about how it interprets the battery life. The Max is doing more work, so of course it runs down faster. For equal work, it would be a different story.
