I'm literally just wrapping up a stay in Jackson, Wyoming so I have dozens of black and whites to choose from. I haven't even gone through all the photos yet. You could spend a lifetime photographing the Tetons and Yellowstone (as many people have). This is Buck Mountain and some of the "smaller" peaks. The three Tetons are to the right (north) of this shot.

Guys, sorry I haven't judged yet. I am finishing up a major project tonight, but before I go to bed, I'll post the winners.

And the winners are........

1st place: Pompiliu
2nd place: JDDavis
3rd place: MacRy

Great photos everyone!

MacRy: I loved the simple nature of your photograph. The composition was well done, and there is a nice contrast between the elements (sky, trees, earth).

iJohn.8.80: Moody portrait. I like it, and it's well done, I feel like I lack a personal connection though.

acearchie: It is indeed very moody, almost in a creepy way! I like it though. I wish I could see more of the face.

Pompiliu: I kept coming back to this shot over and over when trying to select this week's winner. I love the composition, the contrast, the bokeh, the model's pose. Well done.

pmxperience: I love Hong Kong! Well done. The photo has a gritty feel to it, very down to earth, very "Normal Life."

JDDavis: Fantastic shot. It was a very close race between this and the 1st place shot. I love the majesty of the subject coupled with the simplicity of the composition. Very contrasty. Well done!

jabbott: Looks like a place I'd enjoy visiting!

Laird Knox: Beautiful shot. I love the stars in it.

genshi: Interesting portrait. I'm really not sure how I feel about this one. It's certainly catchy though.

fireman32: Good minimalistic shot, but I felt it lacked that one extra element to catch my attention.

Apple fanboy: Nice architecture shot. Very majestic feeling.

LongSticks: This is a very interesting shot. Is it an HDR turn b&W?

Sebct: Beautiful portrait! I love the smile.

Indydenny: Wonderful moment frozen in time. I can almost feel the splash.

kevinfulton.ca: Epic beard. I like it.

Elbert C: This shot makes me sad (don't take that the wrong way!). It makes me feel a lot of emotion. Well done.

Team Timm: Lovely expression on the child's face.

DirtySocks85: Lots of contrast here, and lots of bokeh!

Fantastic shots this week! I apologize for being so tardy posting the results. It was a tough decision. Well done everyone!

Thanks for the feedback and the great topic. Sod’s law I suppose that last night is when I scanned in all my new B&W images!
